Rihanna is an example of an artist who has a big budget to spend on a music video. This video is her video We Found Love. It shows she had a large budget by the effects such as transitions, lighting and sound effects, outfits, locations, ideas which have been created. We Found Love topped the charts in 25 different countries, becoming one of the most successful songs of 2011 and 2012. Worldwide the single has sold over 8.1 million copies making it one of the best selling singles of all time.
In comparison, States of Emotion are a band which have youtube hits and people may know who they are, but they would not have had a big budget to create their music videos. As you can see, in their video The Unsung, it is slightly simple. It's still effective and suits the type of song that it is but you can clearly see that it has not had a lot of money that has been used to put towards the production.
